Everyone has memories that they never want to forget and, in most cases, those memories have been captured in a photograh and placed away in a box or photo album. Only to be brought out on certain occasions, those being family gatherings or just when you want to look back on good times in life. Those photo's hold so much meaning that you want to ensure they are always there.
Something most people do not consider, or in most cases so not want to consider, are the situations in which these memories could be destroyed forever. God fobid it should ever happen, but what if your home fell victim to a fire or flood? I hope this would never happen to you, and chances are it never will, but in that case what would happen to your photos? They would most likely be lost forever.
Another situation you should consider is that of fading photographs. We have all seen the photos that have faded and no longer look the way they did at one time.
